My Story? I’ll share it with you…
Growing up in a small town, we didn’t have many resources to help us prepare for adulthood. Of course I learned some important things at home, like cooking, cleaning, and other basic skills, but my mom worked A LOT, and as kids, we spent the majority of our time at school. So, I learned what I could from the one Home Economics class that was offered at my high school and went out into the great big world with just that and what I had learned at home.

Then reality set in. As an adult, I realized that I was basically winging adulthood, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. I knew I didn’t want my kids going through the same thing. So I set out on a mission to do everything I could to prepare them for life’s challenges.

This website is the result of that. It’s a resource hub where I share life skills activities to help you prepare your kids for the real world. Take what you need, and let’s help our teens (and preteens) grow into happy, healthy, productive, and successful adults.
